The Global State of Democracy 2023
ANIMATED ILLUSTRATION
International Idea launched a report on The Global State of Democracy 2023.
The report provides evidence-based, balanced analysis and data on the state and quality of democracy for 173 countries across the world. It aims to contribute to the public debate on democracy and inform policy interventions to strengthen democracy.
Together with Azote, I designed and created a cover illustration for Idea's social media platforms. The goal was to create a visual that illustrated the concept of “cross-institutional collaboration” as a visual metaphor. We see multiple interconnected gears that represent different institutions working harmoniously to maintain a balanced democratic system.
